It is American…

[This link](http://www.freewayblogger.com/) is outstanding. Political dissent is American and in the words of my friend Jenn Lena, “[these] Folks [are] takin’ it to the streets.” My personal favorite image is linked below: “485 Dead, 2,779 Seriously Wounded, 3,264 blood-soaked uniforms, and we impeached Clinton over one lousy dress.”
Very nice. Sad that it’s necessary. And even more sad that people still ignore it.
I’m glad to see people that are working to be heard. This country has a short attention span. We forget things easily. With the election looming ahead, we need to be reminded of exactly what the past four years under Bush have meant. I wish people would pay more attention to the politics and less to the baseless allegations and scandals. There are real issues to discuss. People are dying. That’s a fact. People should care enough to find out whether or not they believe that the actions of the current White House staff are justified.
I remember hearing a comment by Ralph Nader on The Daily Show. He said that we should pay as much, if not more attention to politics as we do sports. If we knew as much about the candidates as we do our favorite players, we would make much more informed decisions, and the country would be much better off. I definitely agree with that. A lot of people end up making voting decisions based on shallow things, not important issues. No matter what you believe in, at least find out if any of the candidates agree with you…
It’s funny, you never saw any of these signs during Clinton’s Kosovo, Bosnia, Haiti, Somalia and his bombing campaigns in Iraq; I’m leaning towards intellectual dishonesty here. It’s also funny that none of the liberals who protest the war are protesting Kerry.
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. (Reuters) - Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry said on Monday he would have voted for the congressional resolution authorizing force against Iraq even if he had known then no weapons of mass destruction would be found. (See http://news.myway.com/top/article/id/381249|top|08-09-2004::17:46|reuters.html)
Kerry said this less than two weeks ago, why arn’t the anti-war people now protesting Kerry? The same amount of lives would have been lost, the abuses that happened would have happened anyway. I don’t understand it, again, I must lean towards intellectual dishonesty. To me it doesn’t matter if someone has an ( R ) or a ( D ) after their name, I supported Clinton during his five conflicts, just like I support Bush during his Afghan, and Iraq wars.
Nice siteGod knows
