Last night Barbara and I celebrated our three year anniversary!  It was a truly wonderful experience!  We went to Reggiano’s Pacifico Restaurant, an upscale Italian and Mediterranean restaurant located in north San Antonio. 

 The meal started off like all meals should; with bread and olive oil.  After enjoying the bread, we ordered an appetizer that had some sort of grain patty, sausage, and shrimp.  I cannot remember its name, but it was very good and the presentation was excellent.  While we were eating this, the waiter brought us a plate of calamari that was gratis.  We followed the appetizers with salads.  Barbara had a very nice salad that had mixed greens, heart of palm, and olives among other things.  I had a salad topped with a whole quail, feta cheese, small pecans, and olives.  The salads were followed by the entrée.  Barbara had crabmeat stuffed shrimp and fettuccini.  I ordered a stuffed chicken plate that was surrounded by prociutto and served over angel hair pasta.  By this time we were stuffed so we each took a few bites while we had conversation and then had it boxed up.  Barbara ordered an espresso to cap off the meal while the waiter recited the dessert list.  We decided that we were much too full to attempt a dessert and passed o­n what sounded like a very good selection.  Two minutes later the waiter came back with a huge portion of tiramisu.  He said that he knew we were full, but really wanted us to try out their desserts.  Needless to say we went ahead and ate it because it was so good. 

 So three and a half hours, four courses, and two free dishes later,  we left having had a wonderful time celebrating our three year anniversary.  The food, the conversation, the atmosphere were all perfect.  I really could not ask for anymore.
